Committee Vice Chair Changes
Sue Beers, PhD, Vice Chair for Committee D retired at the end of June 2021. Although we will miss her leadership, Committee D will carry on under the leadership of new Vice Chair, Adam Frisch, MD, Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine effective July 1st. Welcome to the team, Dr. Frisch!
HRP Staff Comings and Goings
Deane Quillen, Reliance Specialist, will be leaving his position on July 9th as he moves to the University of Kentucky to take on the role of Professional Associate II in the Office of Research Integrity focusing on reliance, education and QA/QI. We wish Deane well as he moves on in his career.
Yawah Nicholson, Research Review Analyst, joined the HRP on May 3, 2021. Yawah will be working with the Full Board Team shepherding greater than minimal risk studies through the committee process. She will also be working as a part-time member of the Reliance Team.
Megan Frame, Reliance Specialist, joined the HRP on May 17, 2021. She will be working with the Reliance Team in managing research studies when Pitt is either serving as IRB of Record or ceding IRB review to another institution.
