As NIH grant application deadlines approach yet again, the Pitt HRPO would like to remind Investigators that NIH-funded, multi-site projects must use a Single IRB (sIRB) mechanism as a condition of funding.
The use of an sIRB mechanism requires that Investigators involve the Pitt HRPO much earlier in the process. Please contact the Pitt HRPO while you are writing your grant application. This will allow the HRPO to provide you a summary of sIRB fees for inclusion in your budget and a grant letter of support.
